The Crime Scene -

I apologized to Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans for my conduct and she said it was ok and so I got in my car with my friend and travel companion, the beautiful and insightful Sis. Sheena Clark, and we joined the police escorted caravan making its way to the actual scene of the crime which is actually outside the city limits in pre-dominantly white North Greenwood (Leflore County itself is about 73% percent Black)… The crime scene is in a wooded area off the gravel road section of Puckett Avenue between East Claiborne Avenue and Robert E. Lee Drive...
The Dog Pound Near Scene Of Crime & Mysterious White Man From White Pick-up Truck. While We Investigated, A White Man In A White Pick-up Truck Appeared On The Scene To Feed The Dogs In The Pound...Was He Part Of The Same Group Of White Men Who Confronted Brenda Carter-Evans In December?

A source close to the case said that Brenda Carter-Evans shortly after her son was found went to the scene with another supporter and was confronted by 3 white men in a white pickup truck who asked the grieving mother what she was doing on private property? She approached one of the men with her arms crossed as if she was concealing a weapon and told them that her son was murdered and hanged from a tree on the property to which the white man jumped back as if she put a hex on him or seen a ghost….Luckily nothing transpired that day…
First of all viewing the crime scene first hand and the area where it was located, predominantly white North Greenwood, I immediately thought I could not see myself traveling there on my own as a Black man all too familiar with the history of 'The Smiling Sleepy South With Blood On Its Mouth'…Besides Sis. Sheena and myself  the caravan included Sen. David Jordan, The SCLC entourage headed by SCLC Pres. Howard Creecy, Jr., Brenda Carter-Evans & her husband Luell Evans, Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe, Rep. Willie Perkins,  several police officers as well as some observers from the press conference…Bro. Wendol Lee who was still incensed by how he was treated at his own press conference did not come…
Needless to  say the crime scene even in bright sunshine was very eerie and spooky and I could not imagine any Black person being safe in the vicinity….Ominously a white pickup truck appeared which caught us all by surprise…This time there was one white man in this truck…He parked and inquired about our presence on private property from some of the police and proceeded to go feed the dogs locked in the pound nearby…I sensed that maybe he was sent there to spy on us by the folks who probably actually knew more about what happened to Frederick Jermaine Carter than many of us could ever fathom…Well I also couldn’t help but think that the dogs also knew what went down as well and if they have had a hand in the demise of this young man chasing him up and down the levee alongside the Yazoo River…
Another shock to us was to find the table that supposedly was so instrumental in the death of Frederick Jermaine Carter sitting there by the tree almost 5 months after his body was discovered….Dr. Howard Creecy, Jr., wondered out loud if this was what the boy used to kill himself then why wasn’t it taken from the crime scene and labeled as evidence? Also we questioned was the table strong enough to hold Frederick Carter if he attempted to hang himself??? Sheriff Ricky Banks admitted to W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News that they had to reconstruct the table at the crime scene…Why did they reconstruct the table at the crime scene, is that not tampering with evidence?
Also the tree limb was about 8 feet or so in the air so how would 5’4” 143 lbs. Frederick Carter be able to reach limb on a flimsy non-functional table? The ground around the tree was soft and squishy...Why would the Sheriff say that the only footprints found were Frederick’s when the ground was so soft and squishy that it was easy for anyone without much effort to make footprints into especially if folks were in the area collecting evidence without securing the crime scene? Did Sheriff Banks and his people take photos of "Frederick's footprints"?
According to The Greenwood Commonwealth,  Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders estimated that Carter died at least 24 hours before 12:30 p.m. central Friday, when his body was found hanging from a tree...Also State Sen. David Jordan said that folks familiar with the area and who were known to feed the 30 dogs located in the pound nearby did not see a body hanging the morning of December 3, 2010, from the tree (once again his body was discovered 12:30pm central that Friday)…If this is the case then was Frederick Jermaine Carter killed somewhere else and brought to the location where his body was found? Another question is that if the area is frequented by human beings on a daily basis then how would Frederick Jermaine Carter have enough time to elaborately kill himself in such a fashion?  Although the area is wooded it is not as remote from civilization as the powers that be would have you believe…

2011-07-05 "Frederick Jermaine Carter 7 Months Later - Advocate, Provocateur, Or Saboteur: The Enigma Of Valerie Hicks Power"
by Bro. Ron (a.k.a. R2C2H2 Tha Artivist) from "W.E. A.L.L. B.E." News, Radio, TV [http://weallbe.blogspot.com/2011/07/advocate-provocateur-or-saboteur-enigma.html]:
“A Lawyer Who Is Not A Social Engineer Is A Social Parasite” ~Charles Hamilton Houston
Valerie Hicks Powe is known as a corporate lawyer, well I can’t say she is truly that well known or what her true purpose is, advocate, provocateur or saboteur, as it relates to this case...

I do not understand for the life of me why Brenda Carter-Evans decided to get a corporate lawyer without any or very limited trial experience in this area instead of a seasoned, knowledgeable civil or criminal lawyer is beyond me…
A source knowledgeable of the case told W.E. A.L.L. B.E News that Valerie Hicks Powe, who lives and works in Birmingham, Alabama, was recently hired by the Mississippi Highway Patrol last year to conduct seminars/workshops…
This same source also told W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News that Valerie Hicks Powe was recommended  to Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans by a family friend who is also a Mississippi Highway Patrolman…
Valerie Hicks Powe has made several claims through the media that she feels that Frederick Jermaine Carter was murdered and that she felt that the law enforcement officials in Leflore County have failed to do their jobs in terms of preserving the crime scene, conducting a proper investigation thus alluding that the Leflore County Sheriff and Coroner’s Office were involved in a cover-up conspiracy from the start…
Does it seem like a conflict of interest to have a lawyer who recently worked for law enforcement officials of a state on favorable terms to now accuse members of the law enforcement  community of the same state in a murder cover-up conspiracy?
And if this is Valerie Hicks Powe’s reasoning then why hasn’t she filed a lawsuit against Leflore County or the state of Mississippi? What is she waiting on? Perhaps a settlement? Once again I ask the question why has the Carter-Evans family retained a corporate lawyer as their legal representative in this scenario which would seem to be a criminal/wrongful death matter? Let’s define what a corporate lawyer is…
The definitions of a corporate lawyer are as follows:
* [http://careers.stateuniversity.com/pages/722/Lawyer-Corporate.html]: "Whether serving as in-house or outside counsels, corporate lawyers are hired to keep companies out of trouble by anticipating and helping to circumvent problems. They also keep their clients up to date on new business laws and regulations. Corporate lawyers provide advice on labor relations, employee contracts, tax issues, suits against the corporation, employee injury, patents, and contracts with suppliers of raw materials."
* [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_lawyer]: "The role of a corporate lawyer is to ensure the legality of commercial transactions, advising corporations on their legal rights and duties, including the duties and responsibilities of corporate officers. In order to do this, they must have knowledge of aspects of contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws, and the laws specific to the business of the corporations that they work for."
* Here is Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe’s own definition of what she does from her website [http://www.valeriehickspowe.com/]: "Valerie is a practicing attorney specializing in employment law and mediator trained through the Atlanta Justice Center. With nearly a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and an extensive background with government agencies, she offers her clients myriad of management resources and training tools. Valerie is an effective leader, whose past and present activities includes serving on Boards of Directors for the National Employment Lawyers Association, Legal Services, the Alabama Lawyer’s Association and a Committee Member of Operation New Birmingham."
I will ask again, what is a corporate lawyer used to conducting workshops and seminars for government agencies doing involved in a wrongful death situation where government authorities are accused of not doing their jobs and possible cover-up?
And why is a person more familiar or seasoned in the Alabama legal culture stepping foot into seemingly foreign Mississippi territory?
Does she has a license to practice law in Mississippi?  Not one of her credentials mentioned on her website lets us know she is otherwise qualified to handle Mississippi’s interpretation of law and order...
Also her experience in law seems to make her more acclimated and sympathetic towards the corporate or government agency culture of doing things (Goliath) than towards the underdog (David)…
In other words why should she take on a case with a client who alleges wrongdoing was perpetuated by those government entities that basically sign her paychecks and butters her bread???
Why Is Valerie Hicks Powe Keeping Both Autopsy Results In Her Possession & From The Public?
Another thing I have learned about Valerie Hicks Powe is that she has been going around telling folks that the autopsy results have not been released and that the state is withholding evidence thus stopping a true investigation from taking place…This is a lie…
A source told me she said something similar to the above at the 47th Annual Mississippi Martyrs Memorial Service in Neshoba County,Ms, during Father’s Day Weekend 2011…
Valerie Hicks Powe also told same source that Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans, her client, was also causing problems in the case as well…Oh really???
The same Brenda Carter-Evans who seems to put all of her abiding faith and confidence in Valerie Hicks Powe so much so that she refuses to give interviews without her consent???
I reminded the source that this wasn’t true and that W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News was instrumental in securing the release of said autopsy results from the Miss. State Medical Examiner’s Office this past March and that the evidence is all over the internet…
As a matter of fact Dr. Adel Shaker said that he indeed did send a copy of the autopsy results to Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe…
I also informed the source that Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders stated that the state autopsy results were indeed in her possession but when she spoke to W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News in late April she said that no one from the immediate family has come to claim the autopsy results and that she will release them to immediate family only due to the HIPPA Act  (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HIPPA].
This however contradicts what Dr. Adel Shaker stated to W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News back in March about the availability of the autopsy results to the public but he later recanted and for the most part backed Coroner Debra Sander’s assertion that the autopsy results could not be available to the public due to the HIPPA Act as well as a pending investigation which begs the question if there are no plans to really conduct an investigation when will these autopsy results be available???
Why hasn’t anyone from the family sought to get the autopsy results from the Leflore County Coroner’s Office if they have been available since April???
* WATCH: W.E. A.L.L. B.E. Exclusive! Interview With Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders On Frederick Jermaine Carter Hanging (4/19/2011): [http://blip.tv/file/5057462]

Once again why is Valerie Hicks Powe telling folks that she doesn’t have access to the state autopsy results??? To add even further insult to injury Valerie Hicks Powe has been telling folks she doesn’t have the second autopsy results…
Does anyone beside me see a disturbing pattern developing?
The first autopsy results were sent directly to her from the Miss. State Medical Examiner’s Office and the second autopsy results were sent by Dr. Matthias I. Okoye of Nebraska Institute of Forensic Sciences, Inc.,…
The first autopsy results according to Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe are not complete because they do not include photos from the first autopsy nor the full toxicology report…
Dr. Adel Shaker didn’t rule on cause of death according to several sources because he wasn’t sure what a second opinion would say…
Also Dr. Shaker’s autopsy report states that the toxicology results “reveals negative results for the tested substances tested”…
However, what were “the tested substances tested” and could there be drugs that aren’t tested for that wouldn’t show up on a toxicology report if the examiner wasn’t necessarily looking for them? This case is really contradictory on many levels…
At this point one cannot be sure if there is a true conspiracy or a true comedy of errors now going on, making this tragedy even more of a travesty than it really should be…

2011-07-05 "Frederick Jermaine Carter 7 Months Later: The Shame Of A Nation"

by Bro. Ron (a.k.a. R2C2H2 Tha Artivist) from "W.E. A.L.L. B.E." News, Radio, TV [http://weallbe.blogspot.com/2011/07/shame-of-nation.html]
However, the folks who paid for the second autopsy , The Nation Of Islam, were not extended the same courtesy…
A source close to the situation told W.E A.L.L. B.E. News that The Nation of Islam has tried on several occasions to get copies of the second autopsy from Dr. Matthias I. Okoye of Nebraska Institute of Forensic Sciences, Inc.,  but were told by the doctor to get their copies from Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe…
W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News tried talked to Dr. Okoye but his lips were HIPPA Act sealed and he told us that he didn’t want to get involved in the controversy…
Dr. Okoye suggested that W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News speak with Attorney Hicks-Powe & The Carter-Evans family about the 2nd autopsy results…
Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe has no love for The Nation Of Islam it seems, going as far as not returning The Nation Of Islam’s calls or letting her client, Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans, associate with The Nation of Islam…
This would seem very counterproductive to even the most casual or indifferent of observers…
After all was it not the Nation Of Islam that first challenged the corporate media’s (read USA Today & Associated Press) interpretations of events  and the narrative by getting the community’s response and  getting  the case front page treatment literally, provided support for the bereaved family via their Fruit Of Islam and MGT (Muslim Girls Training) units providing services for the funeral with the Honorable Min. Yasin Abdullah Muhammad delivering an eulogy????
On top of that it was the Nation Of Islam that footed the bill for the second autopsy and even allowed Brenda Carter-Evans to select the forensic expert of her choice to perform the procedure (a source close to the situation told W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News that Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe wanted the Nation Of Islam to select the forensic expert but that the Honorable Min. Louis Farrakhan declined to do so)…
She has allegedly claimed that she reimbursed  The Nation Of Islam for services rendered as it relates to the second autopsy but several sources close to the situation said this wasn’t true and that the Honorable Min. Louis Farrakhan would have never agreed to such an arrangement…
Does it seems strange then that Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe would tell folks she repaid the Honorable Min. Louis Farrakhan when she is having trouble raising money and getting media attention???
And speaking of burning bridges The Nation Of Islam could have definitely gotten her the media attention and financial support that she seems to crave...
After all did not the Nation Of Islam organized both the highly successful Million Man and Millions More Movements respectively that brought literally millions of folks to the Capitol mall???
Once again sources close to the case suggested that Valerie Hicks Powe might have feared The Nation Of Islam would have gotten too much credit which in turn would have stolen the limelight from her…
Maybe Valerie Hicks Powe sees this case as an opportunity for her to become a star in her profession and a household name???
A source close to the case told W.E. A.L.L B.E. News that Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe master plan was to allow others to create buzz and media attention while she held on for the ride, swoop down at the last possible moment and take all the credit for their sincere efforts ala April 22 press conference organized by Bro. Wendol Lee & Operation Help Civil Rights…
Like a barnacle on a whale or a flea on a dog, Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe took advantage of her  hosts by thanklessly consuming their resources without returning their goodwill…
Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe seems more interested in seeking media fame for her own self-interests rather than pursuing justice through the proper legal channels for her client…
The problem with this approach is that the all-time great lawyers make their names usually by winning cases…
The reality is Valerie Hicks-Powe is not well known outside of Birmingham, Alabama …
She does not have a track record of note in trial lawyer situations…
I am not writing this as a knock but when folks think of a situation like this they usually think of what you would call a venerable and legendary trial lawyer like a Johnny Cochran, a Thurgood Marshall,  a F. Lee Bailey, a William Kunstler, a Clarence Darrow etc.,…
I am not doubting her expertise in handling corporate law issues but I don’t think she has the gravitas or experience to handle a case of this type or magnitude…
Normally lawyers in a case like this try to build goodwill and an environment of cooperation (read inclusiveness) with those individuals, communities and /or organizations who would like the support the cause of their client (Think Johnny Cochran brilliantly re-imagining and building a bridge for O.J. Simpson to the Black Community, a community he shunned so long ago in good times)…
However, one must wonder how she would ever achieve her ends of fame and possible fortune if she keeps alienating key and influential supporters like The Nation Of Islam from the case???

2011-07-05 "Frederick Jermaine Carter Hanging 7 Months Later: And Justice For Us Or Really Just Us?" by Bro. Ron (a.k.a. R2C2H2 Tha Artivist) from "W.E. A.L.L. B.E." News, Radio, TV [http://weallbe.blogspot.com/2011/07/and-justice-for-us-or-really-just-us.html]:
Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe has created a website and non-profit organization called "Citizen-Advocates Foundation For Justice " which can be found here: http://www.andjusticeforus.org…The website is half functional and leaves a lot to be desired to say the least… For example, although she has a email subscribe list widget to sign up for updates it isn’t functional…At first her PayPal link in asking for her favorite pastime wasn’t functional either…When we had  our second heated confrontation at the crime scene I told her that if she was really concerned about fund raising that she needed to fix the non-working PayPal link on the website…She was taken aback by this and then weakly stated that she designed the website herself and then I thought to myself why would she brag about it???
Although it took her some weeks she finally has the PayPal link working albeit the subscribe widget is nothing more than still decorative (although she does now have since ‘our conversation’ a supporter fill out form on the website’s donation page) but to me the website is horribly stagnant because there is no new information or leads being presented on it…
Since the April press conference Attorney Hicks Powe has two press releases detailing activity related to the case since that time…One press releases dated June 2, 2011, talks about her going to the Freedom Rider’s 50th Anniversary celebration in Chicago and getting their support…Another press release dated June 23,2011,  deals with accusing Dr. Adel Shaker of wrongdoing in other forensic cases and how the family was concerned about his integrity in providing the autopsy results of Frederick Jermaine Carter (which is ludicrous if you consider that he actually bucked the groupthink trend in not ruling this a suicide which should have gave the family daylight in demanding a thorough investigation)…Although she has been the key representative of the family interests since December and should have her key facts straight about this case 7 months in she nonetheless still manages in the same press release to misname Leflore County Sheriff Ricky Banks by calling him ‘Sheriff Ricky White’…
* WATCH: W.E. A.L.L. B.E. Exclusive! Leflore County Sheriff Ricky Banks On Frederick Jermaine Carter Hanging (4/21/2011) [http://blip.tv/file/5053963].
There was also a promise of Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans writing a monthly update via the website but the last update was on April 19, 2011, which is actually a verbatim repeat of the April 14,2011, entry…The fact that Valerie Hicks Powe waited until March 31, 2011 (which sounds more like an reactionary rather than strategic response to the March 29, 2011, Operation Help Civil Rights Group Press Conference in Greenwood ), to organize her first official press conference on this case when she has been the lead lawyer/representative for the estate of Frederick Jermaine Carter since December 2010 to me shows more than a lack of due diligence on the part of Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe in keeping the case before the public eye as well as keeping the pressure on the powers that be to do the right thing by conducting a thorough investigation…
The best lawyers are usually ones who also are able to effectively to use the media to try a case in the court of public opinion if they are not able to try it in the court of law…Public Opinion can be just as damning, influential or empowering as a verdict given by a judge or a jury of your peers in the court of law…Attorney Hicks Powe complains of lack of funds but how can the people support what they do not know exist???
There is a plethora of opportunities via the internet to ensure that this story not only stays fresh and relevant but that it can also gain in supporters that can be used to put pressure on the powers that be to move this case forward…The internet is the true fourth estate, the information highway…What if blogs, podcasts, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube was around during the times of the Emmett Till murder or the Montgomery Bus Boycott???  The internet was successfully leveraged as a grassroots organizing tool in both Jena 6 and The Scott Sister movements respectively…The people must know before they can act in the desired fashion…
In terms of her true motivation for involvement in this case only she knows for sure and she is not returning phone calls, e-mails or texts to tell anyone else…When it comes to seeking justice one should never cut corners or be half-assed in the pursuit…

2011-07-05 "Frederick Jermaine Carter 7 Months Later: What About Luell?"
by Bro. Ron (a.k.a. R2C2H2 Tha Artivist) from "W.E. A.L.L. B.E." News, Radio, TV [http://weallbe.blogspot.com/2011/07/what-about-luell.html]:
 Brenda Carter-Evans & Luell Evans:

Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend
Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes
They don't tell the truth uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof
~ "Smiling Faces Sometimes" By THE UNDISPUTED TRUTH

Brenda Carter-Evans & Luell Evans Holding "The Fire Never Dies: Justice For Frederick Jermaine Carter"

Another concern of mine is the stepfather Luell Evans, the last person we know of to have seen Frederick Jermaine Carter…
He and Frederick was working on a painting job when allegedly Luell went to the store to buy supplies and left Frederick behind at the job location, the Highland Park Shopping Center on Park Avenue …
When he came back Frederick, who was known as a walker, wandered off the job site at never to be seen by him again…
Approximately two miles away and less than 48 hours later Frederick Jermaine Carter was found hanging from a tree…
According to Sheriff Ricky Banks, Luell Evans claimed that he called the Sheriff’s Department several times to report that his stepson was missing…
But Sheriff Banks said that the Sheriff’s Department records every call that comes into their station and according to their records Luell Evans never did call them…
Also there has never been a timeline or narrative truly established in the story…
When you look at the genesis of this story there is never a true understanding of how Frederick Jermaine Carter went from painting a building to hanging from a tree 48 hours later just 2 miles from where was working…
The only person as far as we know that can help fill the holes into this narrative isn’t talking…As a matter of fact whenever you try to talk to Luell Evans you must go to Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe to ask for the honor which of course understandably she blocks the privilege but what I don’t understand is why doesn’t he talk at all, even at the press conferences why didn’t he say anything after all he was the last family  member and one of the last people period to see Frederick Jermaine Carter alive…
What is he hiding or rather what is he not saying to that is keeping this case in a static or suspended state?
I tried to talk to Luell Evans at the April press conference about the case but he deferred to his lawyer I even tried to make small talk about say the weather and he still deferred to his lawyer…
I heard Luell had a reputation for being loquacious but on this occasion he was quiet as a church mouse only talking to supporters and friends in low hushed tones…
Even when folks tried to interview him just days after the tragedy he declined to say anything…
So in other words he has never been on record saying anything about how he felt about his stepson or the nature and circumstances of this case…
Even when we visited the crime scene he didn’t say too much of anything just nodding his head in places and floating around the premises to gather I believe what was being said which I thought was interesting…
I found this rather odd almost 5 months later that Luell Evans has not been thoroughly interrogated by the powers that be in order to establish a frame of reference to build a forensic case...
Sheriff Banks said that they did question Luell Evans but I doubt that they did an extensive or thorough job because if what he said was true about there being no recorded instances of Luell making phone calls to the department that should have at least raised some suspicions about his story…
In Luell’s defense, Luell could have made his calls to the Greenwood Police Department instead of to the Sheriff’s department but only he can verify that and he ain’t talking…
Like I said before I have yet to read or see a timeline in understanding how this tragedy came to be…
The fact that it is going on 7 months means that the case is getting colder and colder…
People’s memories play tricks on them and subtle suggestions can easily become irrefutable facts…
It seems like if there isn’t a conspiracy then there are elements of intrigue in this case that hope folks either forget or become disinterested and move on..
But I think that that this time around the usual suspects have gambled on the wrong horse…
The case is still seeing daylight and I doubt will be forgotten anytime soon...
As long as individuals and organizations like W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News are raising questions and receiving answers that don’t answer and conclusions that don’t conclude then there will always be an uneasiness among the powers that be that The Truth, crushed to the ground shall rise again and seep into the consciousness of both young and old alike to start a new justice movement in this country…
At this point I am not saying suggesting anything sinister or cynical about Luell Evans’ muteness (he may truly be afraid for himself and his family’s safety), but I am saying that he knows more than what he has shared with the public and authorities up to this point which is below the bare minimum…
A source close to the situation has told W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News that there was no love lost between Luell Evans and Frederick Carter…
The source further went on to say that Frederick Carter was raised to think of himself as “the man of the house” even when they moved to Sunflower  County a little over 13 years ago…
Brenda Carter, who was born and bred in Worcester, Massachusetts, met Luell Evans when she moved to Sunflower, Ms, and the attraction was allegedly so strong that they were married only 6 months later…
The source said that some members of the family didn’t take to Luell Evans which of course is normal for the most part as many in-laws do not always get along with each other…
However, according to the source there was undeniable friction between Brenda’s man Luell and “the man of the house” Frederick Jermaine Carter…
One day it escalated and ended with Frederick Jermaine Carter allegedly accusing Luell of mistreating his family and threatening his stepfather…
Shortly thereafter Frederick left Sunflower and went back to live in Worcester, Ma, his hometown, where he was raised by his aunts and uncles…
In 2010, Frederick came back to Sunflower County to be closer to his mom and sisters and by the end of 2010 he will be dead at the end of a rope hanging from a tree…
(Note: Although my source told me he came back to Sunflower in 2010 after spending extensive time away in Worcester, MA, other sources state that Frederick Jermaine Carter has spent some time in the Mississippi State Hospital at Whitfield in 2008…more to come later.)

And all the extra love that you gave me~”Dear Mama” By 2Pac

One of the main inspirations for W.E. A.L.L. B.E. News to get involved in this case was Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans herself…I got her phone number and have called her on several occasions beginning in January….
Although she wouldn’t give me an interview without her lawyer’s consent she was nonetheless very cordial and positive in all of our conversations…
When February came and went with no news about the case I started to get worried that this will be forgotten about…
Several folks in the community who I exchanged correspondence with were also worried…
One Saturday morning , March 12, 2011, I once again decided to reach out to Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans…
I told her about my concerns about the progress of the case and she informed me at that time that they haven’t receive the first autopsy results from the state which in turn postponed the 2nd autopsy results from coming out…
In the same conversation she described to me the beauty of her son, how he was so beloved by the young people and little children in their community…
Although he didn’t have kids himself he was always buying toys and things for kids in the neighborhood…
They truly adored and looked up to The Man Child Known As Fire…
So when his life was extinguished they were more than understandably upset…
One kid even told her since Frederick died that he himself also wanted to be dead because he miss him so much and that it hurt him so bad not having Frederick around…
She also told me at the time of his death that he along with his stepfather was working on a playground in Sunflower so that the neighborhood kids could have a place to play…
She even offered to show me the playground project herself…
It was well known that Frederick would spend his last and go without in order to make those neighborhood kids happy…
How can a person with this much love and zest for life and others be so willing to take his own life in such a fashion??? She told me that she called him ‘the man of the house’ which also struck me as strange considering that she had a husband who she has been married to for the last 13 plus years which is actually half of Bro. Frederick’s life…
But nevertheless he seemed to live up to the title being the man of not only his house, but also to the community and a true big brother to his two younger sisters…
I am sure there is nothing like the pain of a parent losing a child and although Brenda Carter-Evans was surprisingly upbeat and jovial, which may seem strange to some, but all individuals find different ways with coping with grief, it seems that she was nevertheless determined in seeking justice for Fire…
Her example lit a fire in me to do the same…
On March 18, through the efforts of W.E.  A.L.L.  B.E. News and other concerned entities the state autopsy results were released and it seems that the case was gaining momentum and that something of substance may come about…
Now fast forward to summer 2011 and we still have a quagmire of circumstances not coming from the usual suspects and the powers that be but from the party who is supposedly seeking justice and retribution on the behalf of the fallen but not forgotten...
This is mighty strange because like I wrote earlier “a house divided cannot stand”…
When I finally met Brenda-Carter-Evans and we interacted at the April press conference and crime scene she still seemed to be jovial and good natured, but as I reflect now I seem to come away with two impressions…
I hope that some of my thoughts are off but it seems that Brenda Carter-Evans encouraged a certain divisive element within her camp be it naively so, covertly or indirectly…
For the life of me as much as I want to lay full blame at the feet of  Valerie Hicks Powe for the way this case has been questionably  handled thus far as it relates to the pro-Frederick faction I really do believe that she only represents the interests of the party that procured her services...
Everything that Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe has done since entering this case had to be okayed or blessed by Brenda Carter-Evans, the mother of Frederick Jermaine Carter…
If justice is what they truly seek then why has there been so many hands bitten, bridges burn and love not reciprocated???
Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans convincingly stated during the press conference that she would sell baked goods, mow lawns or do whatever else necessary to raise money for the cause…
In other words by any means necessary she vowed to seek justice for her Fire…
Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans can either be on the side of the problem or the solution but she can’t be on both…
I pray that Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans would get some revelation, peace and overstanding in knowing the value of her staying on the path for the right reasons or getting out of the way for truth and justice to manifest no matter what may come to light in this tragedy…
Yes it is a tragedy but let Bro. Fredrick Jermaine Carter’s death be not in vain but have meaning by letting those interested in truth be united in demanding answers and actions from the powers that be without interference from folks working on the same side of the aisle aborting the movement before it comes into maturity…
Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans told me in so many words herself when we were standing literally just feet from the scene of her son’s crucifixion on Good Friday that we all got a part to play…We all do but we should always know what team we are playing on and what we are playing for...
Mrs. Brenda Carter-Evans could play her part as the 21st Century Mamie Till-Mobley igniting a whole generation of young people working hand in hand with the Elders in order to write a new chapter in the people’s freedom struggle in this country or continually be used as a pawn for the white power establishment to quiet the questions and quell the passions of a historically disenfranchised demographic ready to stand up at a moment’s notice to fight the powers that be if they can only be pointed in the right direction and equipped with the right information to do so…
In the words of Frantz Fanon, "Each generation must discover its mission, fulfill it or betray it, in relative opacity." How many times will this generation get to redefine itself on its own terms??? How many Jena 6, Katrina, and 911 moments do we have left to act in the desired fashion to get the desired results???

2011-07-05 "Frederick Jermaine Carter Hanging 7 Months Later: In Conclusion Some 23 Things To Ponder & Reconsider About The Frederick Jermaine Carter Case: Why???"
by Bro. Ron (a.k.a. R2C2H2 Tha Artivist) from "W.E. A.L.L. B.E." News, Radio, TV [http://weallbe.blogspot.com/2011/07/in-conclusion-some-23-things-to-ponder.html]:
Once again one must ponder and reconsider…
1.)    Why hasn’t a substantive timeline narrative been established? In other words what time did Frederick and his stepfather leave the house and arrive at the painting job, what time did Luell leave Frederick by himself to buy supplies...What time did Luell come back to paint job and noticed Frederick gone etc.,...

2.)    Why wasn’t Luell Evans ever thoroughly interrogated about what he actually knows? Why hasn't he ever given an on-the-record explanation of his side of the story?

3.)     Why hasn’t  Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Leflore County and the state of Mississippi if she feels that there was a murder conspiracy cover up by the powers that be ?

4.)    Why is Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe telling folks that she doesn’t have the autopsy results when she has had both autopsy results, the state and the second, mailed to her and in her possession for several months now?

5.)    Why is Attorney Valerie Hicks Powe allegedly “withholding evidence” (the 2nd autopsy results?) to start a proper investigation into the death of Frederick Jermaine Carter?

6.)    How do these "obstructions" benefit or not benefit the interests of Brenda Carter-Evans and her family?

7.)    Who first reported Frederick Jermaine Carter hanging from the tree on private property? Was this person or people ever identified or interviewed?

8.)    Were residents in the area ever thoroughly interviewed about seeing a Black man in the area wandering up and down the levee and in the neighborhood?

9.)    Were the owner(s) of the private property (Greenwood Riverbend Development) where the crime scene is located, the owner(s) of the dog pound as well as the mysterious man or men in the white truck ever interviewed?

10.)    How can Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders state that Frederick Jermaine Carter was dead for 24 hours when folks reportedly did not see a dead person hanging from the tree on the Friday morning of Dec. 3 (His body was discovered that day at 12:30pm central)? Was he killed somewhere else and then placed at that location as stated by State Sen. David Jordan?

11.)    Why didn’t Dr.Shaker completely sign off on manner of death if there wasn’t room for a second opinion or reasonable doubt?

12.)    Why does Leflore County Sheriff Banks believe that Valerie Hicks-Powe & Frederick Jermaine Carter’s family are withholding evidence?

13.)    If the table was a key component used in Frederick Jermaine Carter’s death then why wasn’t it taken to the crime lab as evidence?

14.)    Why wasn’t a stress test performed to see if the table was strong enough to support Frederick Jermaine Carter?

15.)    Why did Sheriff Ricky Banks “tamper” with the evidence by reconstructing the table?

16.)    Why wasn’t the crime scene professionally preserved?

17.)    Why hasn’t the state of Mississippi release the toxicology and photos of the first autopsy?

18.)    Why wasn’t the Nation Of Islam given a copy of the second autopsy for which they fully paid for?

19.)    Did Frederick Jermaine Carter carry a wallet? If so then what happened to it and why wasn’t it listed as one of his items in his possession on his autopsy report?

20.)    If Frederick Jermaine Carter was found dead within 48 hours and only 2 miles from his original work site in a pre-dominantly white residential area not familiar to him and allegedly hostile to Blacks and strangers then why weren’t their more sightings and reports of his presence to law enforcement agencies by concerned citizens leading up to his demise?

21.)  If Frederick Jermaine Carter had long and unkempt fingernails and was 5’ 4” tall and 143 pounds according to the state autopsy report how could he had hanged himself from a tree limb that was at least 8 feet off the ground without getting any residue from the tree found underneath his fingernails since he would have to climb or be in close contact with the tree to tie the rope around the tree limb?
* “His clothing was intact. There was nothing out of place. His shirt was tucked into his pants with a belt on. His hands were not tied. There was nothing in disarray.” ~ Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders.
* "Banks had said earlier that investigators thought the man was a painter because his clothes and hands were spattered and smudged with paint." ~ The Greenwood Commonwealth from article entitled “Sheriff: Hanging apparent suicide” 12/5/2010).
* “If you stand (Carter) up on the table, he still can’t reach the tree.” ~ Wendol Lee, Operation Help Civil Rights Group.
Frederick was a painter by trade and he had (according to Sheriff Banks and the Greenwood Commonwealth) paint "smudged and splattered" all over his hands and clothes which means to me that although he may have been proficient in painting he still was a messy practitioner of his craft…
So why would he now be a “perfectionist “ so stealthily able to take his own life without being a little messy in the process?
Even if he stood on the table and pushed off as “the authorities said” he still wouldn’t be able to reach the tree limb standing on the table alone to secure the rope properly…
Would this act of climbing the tree also leave his clothes “in disarray” with possibly some dirt and debris from said tree and would he incur some minor scratches on the skin from “climbing” or "engaging" the tree?
And why are there discrepancies between the documented appearance of Frederick Jermaine Carter by two law enforcement officials at the crime scene at the same time?
How can he be neat in appearance and yet have paint smudged and splattered over hands and clothing?

22.) “We found cut rope, but we didn’t see no knife. With that, there’s just a lot of stuff that’s not answered,” ~ Wendol Lee, Operation Help Civil Rights Group
Cut rope was found on Frederick Jermaine Carter but there was no knife or cutting device found in his possession…Where is the tool that he supposedly used to cut the rope to end his life? And why would he be carrying rope to a painting job in the first place?

23.)    Witnesses at the funeral home said that that were notable bruises and scratches on Frederick Jermaine Carter’s body while the law authorities disagree with that assessment.  Will the 2nd autopsy confirm their observations?

2010-12-15 "Frederick Jermaine Carter hanging (Lynching) in Mississippi, NO Suicide according to the NAACP"
by Carla Barnes [http://eotm.wordpress.com/2010/12/15/frederick-jermaine-carter-hanging-in-mississippi-no-suicide-according-to-the-naacp/]:
26 year old African American Frederick Jermaine Carter was found hanging in a Mississippi tree in a white suburb on Friday, December 3, 2010. The USA Today first reported it as a suicide, however, the NAACP just recently contests the findings, they feel it may actually be a lynching.
Carter, who lived in neighboring Sunflower County, was helping his stepfather paint a building Wednesday. The stepfather went to get tools and when he returned, Carter was nowhere to be found.
His body was later found and considering his history of  mental illness and no evidence supposedly of anything other than a suicide it was labeled accordingly. Results of an autopsy are still pending.
The FBI‘s Jackson field office is monitoring the situation. “The FBI has been advised of the situation in Leflore County,” spokeswoman Deborah Madden says in a statement. “We stand by to provide whatever assistance is necessary to ensure the integrity of the investigation.”
State Rep. Willie Perkins, a Democrat from Greenwood and president of the Leflore County branch of the NAACP, says that group also “will keep a high scrutiny and watch on any investigative report regarding what was the cause of death.”
“There are a lot of concerns there, No. 1 that this individual could not have (hanged) himself without the assistance of someone, if it’s being declared a suicide,” he says. “Why would someone from Sunflower County come to North Greenwood, the predominantly white housing area of Greenwood? Why would someone that far away come and hang themselves in North Greenwood by a river? That does not pass the smell test to me.”
Another local elected official, state Sen. David Jordan, a Democrat, says the African-American community in Greenwood is “very much concerned.”
“This is in a white wealthy area, and black people just don’t go over there,” he says. “There’s not a single black that’s talked to us who believes that he hanged himself.”
Jordan, who is African-American, suggests there is a historical underpinning for blacks being suspicious about the specter of violence against them: Greenwood is about 12 miles from Money, Miss., site of one of the most infamous lynchings in U.S. history. In August 1955, Emmett Till, a 14-year-old Chicago boy visiting relatives for the summer, was abducted and killed after he allegedly made remarks to a white woman.
“We’re not drawing any conclusions,” Jordan says. “We’re skeptical, and rightfully we should be, given our history. We can’t take this lightly. We just have to wait and see.”

2010-12-10 "Blacks doubt death in small Southern town is a suicide--they want answers now; Family, political leaders, activists want further investigation into hanging death of young man"
by Jesse Muhammad from "Final Call" newspaper [http://www.finalcall.com/artman/publish/National_News_2/article_7499.shtml]:
(FinalCall.com) - The idea of a so-called post-racial America was widely discussed, debated and even seen as an achievement by some with Barack Obama's inauguration as president of the United States.
For Blacks in Greenwood, Mississippi, the notion that America has gotten beyond race isn't popular today. Many are angry over the recent mysterious hanging death of Frederick Jermaine Carter.
“This is 2010 and we still have Black people hanging from trees? They're saying he hung himself but I have doubt in my mind that he actually did that. That wasn't his character. This wasn't a suicide, this was a homicide,” said Sunflower, Miss., Mayor Michael Pembleton, Jr. to The Final Call.
The body of Mr. Carter, 26, was found Dec. 3 hanging from an oak tree in the predominately White North Greenwood area of Leflore County. The young man lived in neighboring Sunflower County, located several miles away.
Mr. Carter's stepfather told law enforcement that he was working in the area with his stepson when Mr. Carter wandered off.
County Sheriff Ricky Banks reportedly told the media the young man had a “mental condition and a history of wandering off.” He also publicly stated that he saw no signs at the scene pointing towards it being a crime or murder.
Mr. Banks said evidence shows Mr. Carter dragged an old frame of a nearby table, leaned it against the trunk of the tree and commenced to tying himself to the tree limb.
“The frame probably broke, possibly because Carter kicked it out from under himself,” Mr. Banks told reporters.
The preliminary autopsy results by the Leflore County Coroner's Office declared it a suicide.
The deceased man's family and community leaders don't accept the official explanations and are calling for further investigation.
“Because there has been no investigation on the part of the local officials into this as a crime, we're calling on the federal government to conduct an independent investigation. We want the U.S. Justice department to look into this,” attorney Valerie Hicks Powe told The Final Call in a phone interview on Dec. 13.
Ms. Powe, who is based in Birmingham, Ala., is the spokesperson for the victim's family. “A crime scene was never established. They never roped the scene off and this has not been treated as a crime. There is no reason to believe that he would commit suicide. We appreciate attention being brought to this because we need an outcry from the people,” she said.
Funeral services for Mr. Carter were scheduled for Dec. 18 at Ark of The Covenant Church in Moorhead, Miss.
One of the most gruesome lynchings in U.S history took place in Money, Miss., which approximately 10 miles north of Greenwood. In August 1955, 14-year-old Emmett Till was beaten, shot in the head, his eyes gouged out, and thrown into theTallahatchie River with a cotton gin fan tied around his neck with barbed wire after accusations of whistling a White woman. Two White males were acquitted in the case while the boy's mother held an open casket funeral that made national headlines. It was also a watershed moment for the civil rights movement as the horror the Southern violence and brutality was put before the world.

Unanswered questions and appeals for outside help -
Loved one and relatives want answers to questions about the death of Mr. Carter and the story thus far does not ring true, they say.“He didn't have a mental problem. His problem was he tended to not defend himself against others in conflict but he wouldn't kill himself. The family is requesting a second autopsy and want to also have an autopsy done by someone out of the state of Mississippi,” says Mr. Pembleton, who is also a cousin of the victim.
State Senator David Jordan was able to obtain gruesome photos of Mr. Carter's body hanging from the tree. He went to the scene himself and is also skeptical of what is being reported.
“There are a lot of unanswered questions. He reportedly had rope in his pocket but didn't have anything to cut it with? Why wasn't the scene of the crime blocked off? That tree limb is nearly 12 feet high. I'm 6'2 and I can't see how I could maneuver to do that so how could a boy his height hang himself like that?” asks Mr. Jordan, who is also a Greenwood City Councilman.
Mr. Jordan met with the victim's mother, Brenda Carter, when he obtained the photos of her son. “She told me her son loved life too much to take his life. We want another autopsy now,” he said.
Wendol Lee, president of the Memphis-based Operation Help Civil Rights Group, said some 300 residents petitioned his group to get involved because of “paranoia related to the history of lynching.”
“The area where he was found hanging is an area that Black people do not go into according to what residents have told us. Blacks get harassed and stopped by the police in that area so why would this young man go way over there to kill himself? We believe someone took him over there and killed him,” said Mr. Lee, who also works with the National Action Network.
Mr. Lee's group has been on the ground interviewing residents, who he also says do not believe Mr. Carter would take his own life. “He was a good young man who was seen always helping the children,” he added.
On Dec. 9, Mr. Lee's group led a press conference with the family in Greenwood to express dissatisfaction with the investigation and issue his group's call for a national federal probe.
“We know Whites that are in power in Mississippi have never shown favor to Blacks. We're reaching out to Attorney General Eric Holder to order an investigation on the federal level because we're getting conflicting statements from the police,” said Mr. Lee.
Following the press conference, Mr. Lee said they went back to the scene and found what could possibly be “an extra set of footprints. We're leaning towards that this was a killing because everyone we talked to has never seen Frederick in that area before until his body was found,” he noted.
“How did he (Mr. Carter) get out there so far? That's a serious question. I'm concerned about the way the knot was tied around his neck. That's a very particular type of knot that you don't see Black people walking around with,” said Larry Muhammad, Nation of Islam representative in Greenville, Miss.
A major protest in Greenwood maybe brewing, according to Mr. Lee. “This is not the old days. You can't just hang Black people today and think nothing is going to happen. If need be, we're going to invite Al Sharpton to get involved. We going to get ready to shake up this town!” vowed Mr. Lee.
Leflore County Supervisor Preston Ratliff is questioning the reported suicide as well. “I have not made many public statements because I'm still waiting for more information but I do think it is strange that he would hang himself in such a remote area. The mere fact that a Black man is found hanging in a White neighborhood is disturbing based on the history of the Delta,” he said.
According to Mr. Ratliff, Leflore County is approximately 65 percent Black and 35 percent White in population. He doesn't deny the racial problems in his area but points out that it's not as bad as it used to be.
“It's better than people think, but we still have a long way to go. I simply want the truth to come out in this hanging. If it is proven that this is the result of foul play, then those who are responsible need to be found,” said Mr. Ratliff.
“What attracted my attention was that it took place in this big field in a White community. I went to the scene and I didn't see any evidence that a struggle took place. The first autopsy says suicide but nobody believes that is the case,” said Dr. Eddie Carthan, who heads Good Samaritan Ecumenical Church in Tchula, Miss.
“I'm striving to look at this objectively. Right now we're not sure and we're still investigating,” he said.
“There is no sign that we could find whatsoever that anyone else was involved. I haven't seen anything to change my mind, and I'm looking really hard,” said Sheriff Banks to the media.
Blacks in the area don't see it the same way. “We can't have a young, Black man hanging and we just go back to business as usual. We can't sit by and let this go (on). People want stuff like this to get swept under the rug,” countered Mr. Jordan.

2010-12-20 "Justice for Bernard Burden Indeed"
[http://www.ankhesen-mie.net/2010/12/justice-for-bernard-burden-indeed.html]:
The recent lynching of Frederick Jermaine Carter now has folks on the net recalling similar deaths in the 21st Century (the lil sis informs me there have been approximately 89 black male hanging "suicides" in the past 5 years).  One such death is the lynching of Bernard C. Burden, found dead October 13, 2004.  Unsurprisingly enough, his lynching too was immediately ruled a suicide.

 From Harambee Radio [http://www.harambeeradio.com/bernard1.html]:
[begin excerpt]
On the morning of October 13, 2004 Bernard C. Burden was found hung from a tree in the yard of a white family. His feet were touching the ground with his knees bent. The Coroner Wimp Pierce ruled it a suicide. There was a house full of people that night and no Police Investigation was done. No one was charged as suspects in a possible homicide despite the numerous contradictions. Now we all know if that was a white man found hanging in the yard of a black family, everyone would have been taken downtown for questioning or WORSE. We know Bernard was lynched. WE DEMAND JUSTICE!!!
After 4 months the GBI has completed their investigation and have also ruled this a suicide and have closed the case. They claim to have performed a Toxicology Test to check Bernard for drugs and their results show that he had no drugs in his system. However this contradicts the statement given by 2 people in the house that state that they, including Bernard, were smoking marijuana earlier that day. Also, Bernard was on prescription drugs, and that supposedly didn't show up in his system either.
A statement given by Robert Barnett, another white male who was also in the house that night selling Ice (drugs) to the mother of the home, states that he only met Bernard that week. However, he has known Bernard for at least 6 months. Six months prior, he and Bernard had gotten into an altercation where he threatened Bernard's life. This incident is on record. When Ms. Pless questioned the D.A. on this contradiction, they still felt no need to investigate further.
The contradictions and inconsistencies are endless. This cover-up has gone up to the level of the Georgia State government.
Contradictions and Inconsistencies:
 1) How is it possible for a person to hang himself while his feet are still touching the ground and knees bent?
 2) Chris, resident of the home, says he found Bernard hung at approximately 7:00am, yet 911 was not called until 8:30am.
 3) Police Chief Ramos of Grantville stated that no police investigation was necessary because the Coroner, Wimp Pierce did an investigation. Since when are Coroners trained and authorized to perform criminal investigations?
 4) When Ms. Pless, the mother of the victim, requested that the Coroner perform a toxicology test to see if drugs were in Bernard's system, he rigidly refused.

As some of you may have noticed, I've created an R.I.P. tag for our murdered kin. If you find more deaths like these, let me know ASAP.  That black men are being lynched in the 21st Century is something which should horrify and concern us all. Let this be a testament to the human rights violations committed by the "United" States of America. I want everyone to look at these pictures, read these stories, and remember what they saw here the next time pundits and politicos are on the news denouncing the actions of other countries. The hypocrisy of American democracy has reached an all-time high.
This is your post-racial America, people, in all her despicable glory.
This happens here. We are that society.  It is not "ancient history."  It is not a figment of a people's paranoia.  We won't "lighten up and just let it go" because there are others who refuse to "let it go."

2012-10-01 "Strange Fruit of Delaware: Whites in Delaware Lynching Black Men"
[http://waronthehorizon.com/site/?p=3836]:
Louisiana-styled Cover-ups in Delaware -
Frederick Jermaine Carter Lynched in Mississippi in 2010

This War Room would be unbelievable to most, except that we’ve done sufficient research and investigation to confirm it.  whites in Dover, Delaware are lynching Black men and the Delaware political “powers that be” are covering the stories up in hopes that the story will go away quietly.  The victims and the victims’ families have been diligently working to shine the light on this case, but the white liberal elite in Delaware are squashing this story with the racist fervor of a Mississippi/Louisiana kkk group.
Some people might have expected to see an increase in the overt lynching and murder of Black men by white extremists under the Obama administration due to the backlash of white right-wing conservative resentment.  What no one could have predicted is that the increase in white extremist murders of Black people would occur in liberal states such as Delaware.  More outlandish is the white liberal support for these atrocities under Barack Obama’s tenure.  In fact, many of the well-known liberal organizations are intentionally working to prevent the story from going public and/or knowingly turning a blind eye to it.
Beau Biden – Attorney General of Delaware (VP Joe Biden’s Son) (Tel: 302-577-8500), next to Vice President Joe Biden:

Strangely enough our story begins at Delaware State University (DSU) with a Black Ph.D. Professor of African-American history named Dr. Jahi Issa.   Dr. Issa is a positive aberration in the Black community in many ways.  He is an established professor with a Ph.D. degree, who was working at an Historically Black College/University (HBCU), and has been married to a Black woman for many years.  He is also the proud father of (5) vibrant and healthy children.
Dr. Jahi Issa and Children:

Dr. Issa has spent a lifetime studying the history of Black people here and abroad.  While studying the major impact that HBCU’s have played in educating Black men and women throughout the history of this country, he discovered that there were times in history that white interest groups tried to destroy HBCU’s.  After much investigation and independent research, Dr. Issa realized that there is a current effort underway to convert HBCU’s into institutions that wear the name “Black”, but which primarily employ white and/or “accommodationist Negro” faculty and serve the interests of white students.  In other words, there is a legislative movement underway today to turn HBCU’s into white institutions that don’t serve Black students.
As any responsible steward of the Black community should do, he began informing the Black community of this push to destroy the Black middle class by destroying HBCU’s.  In September 2011, he authored a paper entitled, The Ethnic Cleansing of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the Age of Obama (click the preceding link to read the paper).  Little did the Professor know his decision to make the public aware of this governmental push to destroy HBCU’s would make him a target of some of the most influential and powerful decision makers in this country.  What he did notice was that the abuse he had suffered at the hands of white professors at Delaware State University was intensifying after the publication of his article.
Dr. Issa has documented and reported repeated acts of racial aggression from white faculty at Delaware State University over the course of his (3) years at the university.  According to reports, he was told on more than (1) occasion that he was “too Black” for the university and he was requested to resign.  Strangely enough, these accusations of his Blackness and the requests to resign came from whites at the university.  As the attacks from the whites (and some Negro accommodationists) at the school began to escalate, Dr. Issa’s story took a serious change in direction.
In December 2011, local residents report that the flyer below was distributed in downtown Dover, Delaware.

Dr. Issa was made aware of this flyer in February 2012.  He immediately began to lecture on the history of lynchings and why this flyer depicting the lynching of a Black man was something that Black people in the community should take seriously.  After gaining understanding of the relevance of this flyer and the history of lynchings in this country, the students at Delaware State University felt the need to pressure the local authorities to investigate the situation before it morphed into “real” incidents of white-on-Black violence.  Little did the students know how clairvoyant they would become.
In March 2012, the students planned an on-campus rally to protest the decreasing presence of strong, conscious, Black American professors at the university.  In fact, for the most part, the students felt like Dr. Issa was a dying breed of Black professor who understood the plight of Black youth in this country today and how to relate it to our historical Black struggle for progress.  From our current information, the only Black professor on the campus who was willing to support the students’ protest with his presence was Dr. Issa.  This has not been confirmed.  Before the protest got underway, the students were reportedly approached by the campus police.  While standing on the campus in support of the protest, Dr. Issa reports that he was attacked by campus police.  While they were in the process of arresting him, he became ill and fell to the ground.  He requested an ambulance.  The video below captures the incident live as it occurred.
Delaware State Police Assault Dr. Issa [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1YuJzYnetM]:
As you can see, the students were shocked to see the only professor on the campus who supported them being attacked by campus police.  Dr. Issa was taken to the hospital where he was arrested on his hospital bed and taken to jail.  According to the professor, the police coerced (threatened him with violence) him into signing a document agreeing not to return to the campus.  They charged him with a group of ridiculous misdemeanors and eventually let him out of jail.

In the months after this incident, Dr. Issa, unable to return to the campus for work, began spending more time with his children.  He began routinely walking them to a local park.  In May, his wife informed him that she heard from the whites on her job that a man had been lynched a day before in the same park that he frequented with his children.
Silver Lake Park in Dover, Delaware:

When Dr. Issa heard his wife’s story, he was in disbelief.  Soon after, he went to his barber shop to check out the story.  When he got there, he asked if anyone had heard of a Brother being lynched.  The Brothers in the barber shop informed him that his former barber, Johnny Lorenzo Clark, was dead and that the police claimed that he hung himself from a tree.
(Johnny Lorenzo Clark was lynched in May 2012 somewhere in Silver Lake Park.  According to his mother, the family was contacted in May and informed by the police that Mr. Clark “[hung himself from a tree with his own belt in Silver Lake Park."]  The family didn’t believe that Mr. Clark would do this to himself.  However, the case received no publicity and was ruled a suicide.)

Rev. Anna Watson (Local Community Activist) Speaks on Lynchings & Racism in Dover, Delaware [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvYxlBJl_aA]:

This was the first time that Dr. Issa linked the flyer he saw in February 2012 to a real incident in the city of Dover, Delaware.  Astonished that a situation like this could occur in a northern city well-populated with Black people, Dr. Issa began organizing the Black community to push the local authorities to investigate this lynching.  He received little assistance and most of the Black people he reached out to were down right scared to participate.
As the Summer was coming to a close, Delaware State University fired the Professor for a reason unclear to anyone who is familiar with the situation.  His performance ratings have been consistently outstanding and he is one of the most respected and well-loved instructors on the campus – especially by the progressive Black student body. However, before the university fired Dr. Issa in August 2012, Delaware State University’s Office of General Council offered to drop all of the charges (which had to be signed off on by Beau Biden) if Dr. Issa agreed to accept blame in the police assault and arrest.  The request is provided below for your review.

While being unemployed and responsible for caring for a wife and (5) children, he continued to fight for justice for Brother Clark (his ex-barber who had been lynched in Dover, Delaware in May 2012).  In September 2012, he became aware that another Brother named Henry Fordham had been kidnapped and that his (2) white assailants had tried to lynch him.  This Brother narrowly escaped with his life.  We went to Dover, Delaware to interview Brother Fordham and he told us his heroic story of surviving a modern-day lynching in September 2012.

Community Leader Confirms the Story of Mike & John [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTia9XNYWUg]:
When Brother Fordham came forward, Dr. Issa realized why the Delaware State University campus police, the administration, the white liberal faculty, the Delaware State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Negro accommodationists were aligned against him.  He had stumbled upon (2) major stories that the “powers that be” in Delaware do not want to go public:
1. There is an organized plan by the rich white liberal elite in this country to dismantle HBCU’s and destroy the Black middle class entirely so they can push our future generations into the prison industrial complex. The legislation is being finalized in December 2012 to make this happen.
2. There is a known practice of lynching Black men in Delaware that the white liberal governing bodies are intentionally hiding from the public.  It appears that most of the targets are Black males who are either known to be in the streets, practicing Muslims, or both.

Dr. Jahi Issa Tells His Courageous Story: Brother Jahi Issa – Modern Day Black Freedom Fighter [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmKT6xwSkVA]:
Having revealed the white liberal-sponsored movement to disenfranchise Black people in this country and having uncovered a system of white-on-Black lynching in Dover, Delaware, Dr. Issa is now under tremendous pressure.  He is facing jail time apparently for not getting up after the Delaware State police assaulted him.  He is a jobless father of (5) struggling to feed his family.  And he is a modern-day Black crusader who is traveling the national college circuit telling his story and warning our people of the threat to HBCU’s.
If you want to help our Brother in his righteous fight to save HBCU’s and thus protect the future of Black economic and political survival, or if you want to help stop the lynchings of Black men in Delaware and bring the culprits to justice, these are a few things that you can do:
* Donate to Dr. Issa on his website @ http://hbcuinstitute.org/.  He needs the financial support.
* Offer any legal assistance that you can provide.  Any practicing attorney’s in the state of Delaware who have a heart and mind to assist our Brother in his defense and his pursuit of his job will be appreciated.
* Organize to bring Dr. Issa out to your church, organization, and or school.  He has a powerful and informative presentation and he needs the exposure due to the threats he’s receiving on his and his family’s lives.  He can also use the honorarium to survive while he fights to get his job back.
* Insist that Delaware State University (DSU) drop all charges against Dr. Issa considering he is the one who was attacked.  The charges he faces are frivolous and were only filed to discourage him from pressing charges.  Now, he is stuck with attorney’s fees that he cannot afford to pay while he’s in need of a legal team to fight for his job and livelihood.   Without his job, he has no source of income to pay for these fees.  President DSU, Harry Williams @ (302) 857-6001.
* Insist that Beau Biden drop the charges against Dr. Issa and that his office does a thorough investigation into the murders and attempted murders of Black men in his state.  Until these things are done, we should put pressure on the state of Delaware in every political, social, and financial manner possible.  Attorney General Beau Biden’s number is (302) 577-8500.
* Spread the word to as many responsible Black people as possible.  Because the evidence in this case is overwhelming (we have video of the police assault and an interview from the attempted lynching victim), we can solicit tremendous support for the professor.  This isn’t personal.  A victory for Dr. Issa is a victory for the future of Black America.

The implications of this case are endless.  They have already economically lynched Dr. Issa for speaking out against lynchings in Delaware and the movement to undermine HBCU’s.  They are in the process of educationally lynching Black youth by removing them from HBCU’s.  If they are successful in their efforts, they will essentially eradicate the Black middle class leaving menial labor and/or crime as the only alternatives for most Black high school graduates in the next (2) decades.  This will fuel the already exploding prison industrial complex, returning the Black masses to a perpetual system of enslavement.  And lastly, they are systematically lynching Black men in liberal democratic states in 2012.  We cannot afford to allow Dr. Issa to lose this fight.  He is fighting for our survival.
We request that you forward the link to this story to as many responsible Black people as possible.  This story is too important for us to ignore.  The implications far exceed anything that we can attribute to our current generation.  If we don’t deal with these issues effectively, our children may not have any future except for organized mass incarceration (slavery).
We’ll See You on the Battlefield!

  1. Jahi Issa is a fraud. He claims he is the father of 5 healthy children. Yes, he does have five children, but he rarely sees them. His children need him but he is no where to be found. His wife needs him but he leaves her to fend for herself. Basically a dead beat (documents to follow) who is trying to champion a fruitless cause. He has done nothing to help anybody. In his mind, I believe that he thinks he is like a Malcolm X or an Al Sharpton. In reality, he is a broke down radical who is accomplishing nothing. He does not even take the time to care for his own personal hygiene. He is so into black power and "anti-white man" that he forgets the important things.
